4声アカペラ「心には春がいっぱい（Their Hearts Were Full of Spring）」歌ってみた
1999年にYAMAHAのMTR「MD8」で録音した、4パートのアカペラです。
ベースパートは低すぎて無理だったのですが、MD8のピッチ（再生速度）を上げて歌うことで事なきを得ました。
多重録音ビギナーが、一人で無理して全パート歌った為、音程の不完全さに悔いを残したまま20年が経過しましたが、今年（2020年）ピッチ補正ソフト「VocalShifter」で各トラックを自然さを損なわないよう慎重に整えリミックスしたので、だいぶ聴きやすくなったと思います。
曲について。
ビーチボーイズのリーダーであるブライアン・ウィルソンが少年時代、大好きだったジャズコーラスグループ、フォー・フレッシュメンのレコードを耳コピし、２人の弟や従兄、高校の友人とアカペラで歌っていたそうです。
後に彼らがビーチボーイズとしてデビューし、この曲はコンサートのレパートリーの一つとなり、CDアルバム「スマイリー・スマイル／ワイルド・ハニー（カップリング版）」のボーナストラックとしてリリースされているものを、今度は自分が必死に耳コピした楽譜を見ながら録音しました。
オープンハーモニーとは何ぞや、という事をこの経験で学ぶ事が出来た、思い入れの深い録音です。

つべより転載。クリスチャン・アカペラグループ"Rescue(レスキュー)"のライブ映像。
メンバー個々人の技量の高さもさることながら、メンバーの1人であるTim Storms(Rescueには2001-2004まで在籍)は人間の可聴領域外の低音を出すことで「世界一低い声を出せる男性」としてギネスにも認定されています。(記録では最低音G-7 0.189Hz)
ちなみにTim氏はハゲ＆ヒゲのおっさんの人です。ベースやコントラバスのような音を思わせる脅威のロートーンをお聴きください。
