ハーツオブアイアン４のサウンドトラックより、大日本帝国のテーマ曲「Empire of the Sun」。
スウェーデンの作曲家Andreas Waldetoft氏の作品。
2680年（令和2年6月現在）にも及ぶ歴史を持ち、現存するものとしては世界最古の王朝、カムヤマト朝が126代、現在も連綿と続く日本国の歩みを、時に峻厳さを醸し出しながらも、全体的に哀調を帯びた旋律で見事に表現している。
スウェーデン人がこの曲を作ったとは俄かに信じがたいほど、日本人の琴線に触れるものがある。
ハーツオブアイアンなんてやったことないけど、この曲には感動した。
