The UK capital is now the 'world's leading wealth destination' after sales of homes worth more than £7.3 million rose 3% last year. In 2020, London outperformed its traditional rivals New York and Hong Kong by having the highest number of super-luxury home purchases of any city in the world.According to Knight Frank, estate agency group, 201 “super-prime” homes worth more than $3.7bn (£2.7bn) were purchased in London last year, easily edging Hong Kong out of second place with 169 sales.Transactions in London increased by 3% in 2020, while they dropped by 27% and 48% in Hong Kong and New York, respectively, enabling the capital to leapfrog both into first place from third last year.
