Paintings tablets series — Painting 8 of 11Update:Starting a new group of tablets. My dogs chewed up these wooden blocks but I decided it looked interesting so I went ahead and painted a base white layer. I will be continuing to paint these tablets for the next few months.This series of paintings was inspired by thinking about cellphones and the phenomenal spaces that they create. By creating textural surfaces on a tablet the size of an iPhone 4s with oil sticks, I am experimenting with traditional painting and also with UX design including buttons, swiping motions etc. Hi, my name is Jesse Ruiz and I’m an artist and data engineer.
