今年のマキ誕はしっとり系にしました。SV2のボーカルスタイルを"Adult"全振りにしてジェンダーも少し上げたので弦巻マキ本来の声から離れていますがサビやコーラスは少し地が出るようにしました。

ところでサビ最後の歌詞"It's yesterday once more"にはいくつかの考察があるようで、興味深かったのは「この曲そのものを表している」という説です。メタ構造というか再帰的な解釈に「なるほど」と思いました。
この曲も50年以上前の曲ですから今で考えれば「オールディーズ」になるのでしょうけど、「ラジオにかじりついて口ずさんだかつてのオールディーズ」をリスペクトしつつ、この曲もそんな風になりたいという大胆な思いですね。ご存じの通り年代を超えた名曲になりました。歌詞の中に"oldies but goodies"（古き良き）というコーラスが出てきますが、まさにそんな名曲・名歌唱だと思います。
