スーペリアオクトパスはコミックで少しの間だけ登場したキャラクターで、
正体はスパイダーマン2でおなじみのDr.オクトパスことオットー・オクタヴィアス。

ものすごくザックリ説明しますと、
・死を目前にしたオットーがピーターの体を奪い、その過程でピーターの人生を体験し
「"より優れた"スパイダーマン」になると決意する。
・「"より優れた"スパイダーマン」になるだけでなく「"より優れた"ピーター・パーカー」
になるべく博士号を取得し、さらにはパーカー・インダストリーズを起業する。
・密かに手を回していたグリーンゴブリンによって恋人がさらわれる。
自分の傲慢さに気づき、ピーターこそが"より優れた"スパイダーマンだとして体を返す。
・精神のバックアップをしていたオットーはジャッカルが作った自分のクローン体に精神を
上書きし、復活を果たす。その後ジャッカルと争い、ピーターのクローン体を奪う。
・オットーのもとにハイドラが現れ、協力を持ちかけられる。かつては自分のものだった
パーカー・インダストリーズを取り戻すため、ハイドラのスーペリアオクトパスとなる。
・ピーターの策略によって会社は解体されてしまい、オットーは目的を失う。
その後は正体を隠して大学で講師をしながらヒーローとして活躍する。

という話を経てようやく誕生するのがスーペリアオクトパスというヒーローです。
