Popeye is an arcade game that was developed by Nintendo and designed by Shigeru Miyamoto. It is a licensed adaptation of the cartoon of the same name. The objective of the game is to have Popeye collect whatever Olive Oyl throws from the top of the screen, whether they are hearts, musical notes, or letters that spell out a word. If any of these objects land on the water at the bottom of the screen, Popeye has a limited amount of time to get them before they disappear and he loses a life. To make things more difficult, Bluto and other enemies of Popeye are out to stop him.

＜物語＞
世界の裏側の次元では2つの悪魔勢力（Gorilla Devil／Leopard Devil）が存在し対立抗争を数千年にわたって繰り広げている。人類の歴史はすべてこの2大悪魔勢力の争いの狭間で翻弄されており、表側の次元で生きている巨悪陰謀事件などは全て裏次元の悪魔が関わっている。そこに綿々と息づくのは、善悪は常に相対的な存在であり、絶対的な存在ではないという普遍的な真理
