どっちもすごく良くできているから、機会があればプレイしてみてねー。

試験的に二月分を一月にまとめ、調べた物の塊を投げつけるような構成にしてみました。次回から小論は一本くらいにしたいと思います。「もっと深堀しろ」とか「気楽にやっていいよ」などありましたらどうぞ。小論については、類似の動画にはない知見を少しは加えられたかなと思います。

Starsky & Hutch is a game based on the popular TV series from the 70s, released to tie in with the film. The game includes 18 missions, each based on an episode of the TV show and introduced by Antonio 'Huggy Bear' Fargas. There is also a free roaming mode, in which the player explores the GTA-esque environment looking for action and trouble.

Like the film, the game does not entirely play it straight. Starsky & Hutch are actually shooting a TV show, and the scoring for each mission reflects how ratings-friendly your driving is. You are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals for each mission depending on performance, and must get at least 1 gold and 2 silvers on season 1 for a second season to be commissioned, and 3 golds and 2 silvers in season 2 for there to be a third for you to play through.

The overall goal in each mission is usually to chase and destroy a criminal's car. There is always a secondary target as well. In addition, the player will gain viewers by hitting the bad guy, pulling off elaborate jumps and skids, nearly hitting civilians, and hitting the bonus targets such as canisters which are strewn through the levels.

The protagonist is Aban Hawkins who explores different environment in search for his father, the archeaologist Jim Hawkins, and the treasure of Poko-Mum rumoured to be behind a golden door.

The title references the amount of lives the player has to complete the game. These are needed to complete the hard levels filled with enemies and traps such as spikes, boulders, falling platforms, crushing blocks, etc.. Basic controls consist of movement, a regular and a high jump, and an attack move. A large amount of characters and additional costumes can be unlocked throughout the game, usually by discovering gold skulls in levels. Certain characters have specific abilities and their own story elements, but cannot be swapped on the fly or between levels; they each have their full campaign.

Through the company Uexplore people they rent a Small Craft™. The company chooses an uncharted, but safe planet in space, the Small Craft is loaded into a mothership and it is then dropped off at the planet to explore. After 72 hours the mothership returns to pick up the ship and bring it home. Something goes wrong however and the ship ends up in a dark underground as the mothership crashed. The goal of the game is to explore the environment and find a way back home through a communication pod to send a distress signal.

The game uses a large number of Wii U specific features. The GamePad is used to control the ship's computer instruments. Using touch screen controls the player has to manage thrust, weight, gravity, stabilization and other elements that become available gradually.

Child of Light is a role-playing game played as a 2D platformer with turn-based battles. The game is set in the fantasy kingdom Lemuria. The player controls the little girl Aurora, daughter of an Austrian duke, who dies on the night he marries a new wife. Darksiders II is an action-adventure game and the sequel to Darksiders. It takes place parallel to the first game where War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, went to Earth after he was stripped of his powers and in tricked in causing a war between heaven and hell. He travels through different lands and locations to restore the mistakes and kill those responsible.

The gameplay with its third-person hack-and-slash is similar to the first game. The environments consists of large open world areas where dungeons lead to new locations. Next to the action there are also still many environment-based puzzles that require the manipulation of levers, tiles, pressure plates, doors and portals to progress. Compared to War in the first game, Death is much more agile and can perform acrobatic moves.
