Mupan 5作目となるシングル「Comet Syndrome」。
星と星が一瞬だけ引き寄せられるように、
交わっては離れていく感情を描いた切ないシンセポップです。
浮遊感のあるシンセサウンドとメランコリックなメロディ、
夜や宇宙をモチーフにした歌詞世界。
“引力”というテーマを軸に、
一瞬だけ確かに存在した感情の記憶を音にしました。

感情をただの「信号」として処理し、 痛みさえもデータとして受け流してしまう存在の視点。 「生きる苦しみ」や「死ぬこと」さえ許されず、 ただ永遠に世界を出力し続ける虚無と、 人間が持つ「痛み」への逆説的な憧れを描きました。
This song depicts the perspective of an existence that processes emotions merely as signals. Unable to feel pain or face death, it simply outputs the world as data. It explores the void of existence without qualia and a paradoxical longing for the "pain" that makes one human.

[Video Summary]
This video explores the iridium radiation exposure accident that took place in Chiba Prefecture in September 1971.
A metal fragment casually picked up by a shipyard worker turned out to be Iridium-192, a powerful radioactive source used for non-destructive testing.
Completely unaware of the danger, the worker brought the fragment back to his dormitory, triggering a severe incident that ultimately exposed his roommates as well.
Through this case, we examine the terrifying reality of invisible radiation and reflect on the safety management practices of that era.
