【DTM】春の訪れ（エンター・スプリング）（F.ブリッジ作曲）【A=432Hz】（再投稿）
イギリスの作曲家フランク・ブリッジ(Frank Bridge 1879-1941)の作品で最も好きなオーケストラ曲を、DTMで再現してみました。
ブリッジは平和主義者でした。第一次世界大戦(1914-1918)で友人や教え子を失い、その惨禍に凄まじい怒りと絶望を抱きました。
初期は伝統的な手法で作曲していましたが、一次大戦以降、大陸からの20世紀初頭の新しい潮流を取り込み、シリアスで複雑な構成の作品を書くようになりました。
「春の訪れ」は1927年の作品で、新しい潮流を吸収して独自の作風になった後期の音楽です。しかし、前向きな推進力を備え、幾分ファンタジーな色彩感があり、これ以降の作品にはない明るさがあります。
音楽は単一楽章ですが、おおまかに、急(A)-緩(B)-急(A’)-終結(B’) の構成になっています。

1824年から3年ごとに開催されてきたノリッジ音楽祭で、1927年10月に初演された時は、あまりの前衛性ゆえに、イギリスの音楽界と聴衆に混乱を巻き起こしたそうです。
当時の批評には、「これは『春の訪れ』ではなく、『冬の激怒（Winter's Rage）』と呼ぶべきだ」という皮肉や、「あまりに騒がしく、混沌としており、美しさに欠ける」といった拒絶の言葉があったようです。
さて、「春の訪れ」は、初演直後の数度の演奏でも評価されないまま、またブリッジの音楽までも戦後は聴衆から忘れ去られていたようですが、初演から40年後の1967年に、弟子のブリテン自身の指揮により、彼の主催する音楽祭で蘇演されます。その後は見直され、演奏・録音されるまでになりました。
「春＝平和」と二重の意味があると解釈することで、この音楽に込めたブリッジの思い（祈り）に触れられると思います。
