Sonic: Lost World is a 3D action platformer in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. In the introduction Sonic and Tails chase Doctor Eggman who has kidnapped critters. Tails' plane is shot down and they land in Lost Hex, a world in the clouds. There they discover Eggman has used a magic conch to control the Deadly Six. Sonic manages to break the influence, but the Deadly Six then use one of Eggman's machines to drain the world below of its life force. This leads to an unlikely alliance between the duo and Eggman to defeat the Deadly Six.
The game's levels combine three types of gameplay. There are full 3D levels where Sonic progresses through spherical worlds, but can go entirely around the sphere along the way by moving left or right. The second type of levels are side-scrolling 2.5D environments with a fixed side view and regular camera turn. The final type of levels are 3D and on-rails. Sonic moves forward automatically and quick reflexes are needed.

【DTM】音楽劇「タヒルとズフラ」への序曲 Op.30(1942)（シテインベルク作曲）【A=432Hz】
ロシアの作曲家マクシミリアン・シテインベルク(Maximilian Steinberg(1883-1946))が作曲した管弦楽作品を、打ち込みで再現してみました。
「タヒルとズフラ(Tahir and Zuhra)」は、ウズベキスタン等の中央アジアの地に伝わる、悲恋の男女の物語で、何パターンものストーリーが存在しているそうです。
映画や音楽の題材にもなっています。
ソビエト連邦時代の1941年、シテインベルクはサンクトペテルブルク音楽院（当時はレニングラード音楽院）の教師陣の一員として、ウズベキスタンの首都タシュケントを訪れました。彼はタシュケント音楽院の作曲部門の教授（1944年まで）として、学生に西洋音楽を教える傍ら、現地の民謡等を研究して、それを活かした音楽を作曲しました。作品リストによると、それらは管弦楽曲では3曲ほどあり、うち1曲がこの序曲です（他の2曲は※追伸を参照）。
シテインベルクは、「タヒルとズフラ」をもとにしたオペラの作曲を構想していましたが、完成はしなかったそうです。
曲中、中央アジア世界を彷彿とさせる旋律が出てきますが、ウズベキスタンの民族音楽家トキサシン・ジャリロフ(Toʻxtasin Jalilov)の作曲とのことです。総譜中に「con licenza」と2箇所書いてあるのが、多分ジャリロフの作った旋律なのでしょう。
