オリカのアダム・イェーツがバルーン崩落の瞬間に巻き込まれてしまいました。
バルーン崩落の原因は、
バルーンを膨らませている装置のコードを観客が引っ掛け抜いてしまったから。（オカンかよ！）
その後、チーム側の抗議が通り、救済処置でアダム・イェーツはトップより7秒遅れのままゴールしたことに修正されました。
これにより総合２位に浮上、またマイヨ・ブランをＧＥＴ。
修正は表彰後だっためアダム・イェーツは表彰台に登れませんでした。
しかし、次の日のStage8でもマイヨ・ブランを守りきった為、アダム・イェーツはこの日に表彰台に登ることができました。
大会運営はオリカのチームバスに直接謝罪しに行き、今後安全面を強化すると発表しました。
