同報告書によれば、貿易・投資関係の改善がこのシフトの原動力になっている可能性があるという。但し、共産中国に対する不信感も高まっている。回答者の半数以上は、北京が世界の平和、安全、繁栄、ガバナンスに貢献することをほとんど信頼していない。
