Underground 3D is a tactical first person shooter with elements of dungeon explorer for the Java platform.
It was developed by Russsian Mobile Entertainment and Gameplay Labs in 2008 and uploaded for free by Jhonmax to Bemobi (Opera Mobile Store),

The playthrough consists of helping a soldier escape from a Nazi prison where they experiment with humans and investigate about it. For that, we will have to use military tactics to break through the prison.
In summary, it is an interesting FPS with an excellent graphic section and a good soundtrack for Java.

Warning Forever is a fixed shoot em 'up with a simple 2D graphic section and vertical scrolling. It is from the Boss Rush sub-genre; that is, there are no common enemies or previous levels to pass, there are only bosses in each stage which must be destroyed one by one.

Apart from that, there are no bombs, the player has a defined time limit and the system subtracts 20 seconds from the counter for each death of the ship; which makes it certainly very difficult.

It was coded by independent developer: Hikoza T. Ohkubo (Hikware) and has always been freeware since its release in 2003 for Windows.

It is considered a classic within the Doujin Software and can still be downloaded from the Hikware web-site.

SkyRoads Xmas-Special is a modified version of the original SkyRoads with a Christmas theme.
It was developed by BlueMoon Interactive in 1994 for DOS; as a way to continue the Kosmonaut / SkyRoads legacy.

The interface and the playability is the same as the original SkyRoads; but, the levels are changed and have a considerable greater difficulty compared to the original.

The SkyRoads developers decided to put the program for free on their website in both the demo and full versions for historical interest.

SkyRoads is a racing game that combines racing with platform action and its the successor of Kosmonaut.
It was developed by BlueMoon Interactive and originally released as a commercial program in 1993 for DOS.

Currently, it is freeware since it was released for free on its developer's page for historical interest along with the demo version and a Christmas version called: SkyRoads Xmas-Special. There is also a full version available to play on-line.

The playthrough consists of driving a space car through a series of platforms. Each color of the platforms has a different effect; In addition, you have to avoid obstacles and avoid falling into the gaps in the road at all costs.

Soltys is a point & click graphic adventure from the Polish studio: L.K. Avalon for MS-DOS.
It was originally published in 1995; but, in 2011 it was donated as freeware on the ScummVM website in its original version in Polish, as well as a translation into English and Spanish. Of course, this as long as it was not for profit.

Soltys is set in rural areas of Poland, where much of the plot and puzzles are based on the cartoon style and Polish humor.

Marathon 2 - Durandal is a first person shooter (FPS) that is the direct sequel to the original Marathon and the second title in the Marathon trilogy.
It was made by Bungie Inc. and originally published in 1995 for the Macintosh. As additional data, it was the only Marathon title that came out for Windows 95 and that was ported for Xbox 360.

Like the other Marathon titles, it went from being a commercial program to freeware, and the original engine was changed to an open-source one called: Aleph One.

Marathon is the first title in the trilogy of the same name, made by Bungie Inc. and originally published in 1994 for the Apple Macintosh.

Kosmonaut is a racing game set in space, which is the predecessor of SkyRoads. It was the first commercial program to be sold by BlueMoon Interactive, which was published together with Scandinavian PC Systems in 1990 for DOS.

The playthrough consists of driving a space car through a series of different colored roads; As you will have seen in the demonstration, each color of the road means something and has different effects (like filling the fuel tank or the oxygen tank); Also, you must jump over the gaps in the road and dodge obstacles until reaching the end of the level, respectively.

As I clarified before, it was a commercial program until its authors decided to publish the full version on their original web-site, so it became freeware.

B-System is a 2D horizontal scrolling shoot em 'up, developed by little-known Sprite and originally released as shareware in 1997 for Windows PC.
While it takes elements of the classic horizontal shmups, it is very different than most. Well, the playthrough is Boss Rush type; that is, it lacks normal enemies and linear levels, there are only bosses in each stage, which must be defeated one by one.

Another peculiarity of B-System is that the design of all bosses looks like sea creatures with destructive attacks and weaponry.

It is known that it had a port for the Sharp X68000 computer, and that from version 3.0 it became freeware. It can be downloaded from the author's original web-site.

Can't Just Add Water is a very short visual novel (for all ages) that tells a slice of life story about a girl and her older brother. It was written on the Ren'Py engine by Kxela Works and released as freeware in 2009 for PC (Windows, Mac OS and Linux).

The plot is very short (-2 hours); but, it has extra content at the end of the story; all as part of a Flash-Fiction project by its author: Alex Kobayashi.
Like many other visual novels, the story is based on humor and moe; thus, it is entertaining and enjoyable.

Air Pressure is a short visual novel (+13) with simple animations and an interesting plot.
It was developed by Bento Smile in 2010 for PC (Windows, Mac and Linux) and a version for Web Browser was made later by Raitendo.
A version ported to Android devices by Project Gardares is also available.

Although the interface was made with the Ren'Py engine, the animations and the soundtrack are fluid and somewhat enigmatic.
It is relatively short (-2 hours); but, the story has multiple branches and 3 different endings. Currently, it is freeware so it can be downloaded for free from its original web-site.

Memorandum (also known as: Memo) is a visual novel (+13) slice of life built with the Ren'Py engine. It was developed by: Doomfest and released as freeware in 2010.

As in most visual novels, the playthrough is viewed from the protagonist's perspective; in this case, from Hasegawa Seji, a boy who was transferred to another city and where he met two other characters: Liz and Kazumi. of course, most of the plot revolves around the narrative and from time to time, the player will be asked to make decisions that will change the course of history.
The story itself is short (-2 hours); But, to see all the endings, you must go through the plot several times making different decisions to see alternative CGs.

Wonderful World (version 0.85) is a 2D fighting game built with the 2nd Fighter Maker engine. It was developed by: Wan-san and released as freeware around 2006 for PC.
The playtrought (as in all the fighting genre) consists of defeating all the opponents that appear; to tell the truth, the playability is not that smooth; but, it stands out for its number of selectable characters and the use of fantasy weapons in the fight.

As for the design of the characters, it is widely influenced by the anime / manga style; and as for the soundtrack, I'll just say it's decent.

LAB is a first person shooter (FPS) developed by Itch.io user: Mutantleg and released as freeware around 2016 for PC and Web Browser.
The playtrough consists of 3 phases of 5 levels each making a total of 15 levels. It has a way to alter the screen resolution and change the commands of the controls; But, the PC mouse is always used to point and shoot.
As for the graphic section, it has a 16-bit one that is quite reminiscent of the DOS system and also a good soundtrack and hordes of enemies to shoot. The current version is 3; But, you can play the older versions on your original Itch.io and Bigdino page.

Escape Lala is a point & click graphic adventure where you have to solve puzzles and find all the coins (some in well hidden places) until you reach the surface of the cave in which you are trapped.
The playtrough has many influences from classic PC graphic adventures and it has a good dose of difficulty in terms of some puzzles; but, the good thing is that you can spend the coins found on hints to solve some puzzles (although that takes away points in the end).

It was programmed by DuckbearLab using the Unity engine and was released for free on Steam and Itch.io around 2018 for Windows. A version for Android and IOS is also available.
