I've wanted to cover Police Piccadilly's "Boi" for a really long time, but this song came out and it was catchy too.

一方「ライフハウス」はコロナの影響で50周年の節目2021年とはならなかったものの2023年発売となった50周年記念ボックスにて、なんと、まさかのグラフィック・ノベル(漫画)として「ライフ・ハウス」と名前の区切りを微妙に変え、一応の完成となった。（未発表の音源なども含まれてはいたが音楽面である程度の形として提示したとは言い難い内容だった。)多くのファンが求めていたものは、『当時の未発表音源を使っての「ライフハウス」の完成』、或いは『「スマイル」のブライアン・ウィルソン・スタイルでの完成』だったように思う。そんなこんなでモヤモヤしたまま私は、今までのピート・タウンゼントの発言、バンドの歴史本、インターネットに漂うファンたちの考察、2000年に発売された「Lifehouse Chronicles」、そして完成されたグラフィック・ノベルを頼りに、『ピート・タウンゼントのデモ音源を使わずにザ・フーの音源だけ(例外あり)で、3枚組LPという架空のコンセプトの元、「ライフ・ハウス」構築をやってみた。文字数が足りない。賛否両論な内容だと思われるが、一応めちゃくちゃ考え抜いた結果なので、それも含めて楽しんでもらえたら幸いだ。果たして令和のニコニコにて需要はあるのか。そして、ザ・フーはもう1度来日してくれるのだろうか。

習志野市にある「津田沼店」は、2024年9月ごろに閉鎖する方向で検討が進められています。
新京成・新津田沼駅直結で、津田沼店は日本一の売り上げがあったときがありました。
残念ながらイトーヨーカドー津田沼店は、9月29日(日)をもちまして閉店になります。

今回は、イトーヨーカドー津田沼店で発見したイトーヨーカドーのロゴを焼き印にしたどら焼きになります。

インターネットの情報では4月4日「どら焼きの日」にちなんで、3月下旬から4月上旬に販売されているそうです。
イトーヨーカドー津田沼店で初めて見かけたので期間限定で販売されていることを知りませんでした。
食料品売り場に置いてあるワゴンに、どら焼きが沢山積まれていました。
お客さんたちが近づいて珍しそうに観てました。
津田沼閉店もあり、どら焼きが入荷したらすぐに売り切れてしまうので入手できた方はラッキーかもしれません。

どら焼きは、カステラで有名な文明堂東京が製造していました。
裏面の商品名には月三笠と表記があります。
鳩マークとIto Yokadoの文字の焼き印が、しっかり押されています。
約8cmの普段販売されているどら焼きと同じぐらいの大きさです。
全体的に甘さ強めで、しっとりとした皮です。
中に入っているあんこは、こしあんに粒あんがはいっているような感じです。

どら焼きの名前の由来には、打楽器の銅鑼（どら）に形が似ているからという説があるんです。熱した銅鑼で生地を焼いたという説もありますが、どちらにしても楽器の銅鑼に関係していそうですよね。
関西地方では、「三笠山」という名前でどら焼きの販売が始まったことから、今でも「三笠」と呼ばれることがあるんだそうです。

I finally deigned to sit down and record this song after having learnt it several years ago. I remember looking into Maoki Yamamoto's lesser-known songs and being completely blown off hearing this one in particular for the first time. So much that I decided I would try my hardest to learn it by ear (cuz ofc obscure song = no existing transcription), even though it was way above my level by that time. So I guess these years have helped me refine it and improve my relaxation a ton.
