「磯前神社」を名乗る神社は全国に40社ほどあるそう。
明治の廃仏毀釈の折、薬師如来を祀っていた堂宇を神社に改めるに当たり、
医薬の神を御祭神として祀る茨城県の磯前神社にあやかったところもあった、とのこと。へー。
今回訪れた神社は、江戸期に勧請されたということで、
(素直に受けとめるなら)上記とは異なる経緯で「磯前神社」の名を冠するに至ったのかな？

不器用な自分の指を日頃から嫌っていた女の子。ある日、左指を全て犬に噛みちぎられてしまいました。警察がその指を捜索。犬に埋められた土の中の指を掘り出します。キレイに洗浄して爪のお手入れをして女の子の手に戻りました。
人の優しさに触れ、不器用な自分の指を受け入れ、その指を大切にしようという気持ちが湧いてきた女の子でした。
