光なまず～゜・_・゜～さんの論文紹介: 理想的な光触媒を量子ドットで作る。酸化銅と量子ドット酸化亜鉛を使った効率140%マシマシ光触媒

酸化銅はp型半導体で、酸化亜鉛はn型半導体です。これらを組み合わせるとpnダイオードができます。
pnダイオードに光を当てると電圧電流が発生するため、水中の汚染物質を分解する光触媒として使えます。
酸化亜鉛を量子ドット構造とすることで伝導帯を上に押し上げ、酸化銅と同じくらいのエネルギーレベルとすることで高効率な光触媒を実現したとの報告です。
