大学講師の哲学講座 現代の「時間の哲学」(4)
前回パトナム「時間と物理幾何学」の議論を読みましたので、今回はそれに対する批判です。ポイントは
・同時性は実在性を導くのか
・仮にパトナムの議論に従い「未来の出来事の実在性」が認められたとして、この場合の「実在性」とは何か
の2本立てとなります。
最後に数理物理学者ロジャー・ペンローズによるパトナムを踏まえた記述も引用しました。
今回は細かい部分について視聴者から「この点をこう表現していいのか」といった指摘も多々あり、そのためいろいろと言い直したりともたついた箇所もあり、また約100分も長くもなりました。ただ、こうした指摘はありがたいことです。その分、説得力のあるものになっていればよいのですが。

大学講師の哲学講座 現代の「時間の哲学」(9)
今回は物理学の量子力学の話題になります。
ただ、量子力学そのものの詳細を扱うというよりは、アインシュタインたちが「量子力学による物理的実在の記述は完全ではない」と指摘した通称「EPR論文」を取り上げて、量子力学の特徴を知ると同時に、EPRの著者は「実在」ということでどんなものを想定していたのか、を見ることをメインとします。ここでも「流れてしまった時間」モデルが依然として強かったのではないか、というのが、言ってしまえば結論ですが、だからこそ量子力学がどこまで時間の問題に関わるか、を浮き彫りにしてもくれます。
※ 最後の方で通信状態の悪さについて相談している箇所がありますが、ここは本題には関係ありません。

今回は1-3～1-4を初見攻略した時の動画になります。
大学講師の哲学講座 現代の「時間の哲学」(3)
前回までで、「現在」というものを厚みゼロの瞬間、四次元時空の断面として考えるのでなければ、客観的な「現在」の実在は必ずしも特殊相対性理論とは矛盾しないことを見てきました。
にもかかわらず、「現在や“時間の流れ”の実在性を唱えることは相対性理論に矛盾する、よって物理学は永久主義的な見方を支持する」と思われがちなのはなぜか――今回はこの問題に答えるため、そうした（物理学は永久主義的な見方を支持するという）見解の原点にあると思われるヒラリー・パトナム（Hilary Putnam, 1926-2016）の論文「時間と物理幾何学」を読むことにしました。
今回は物理学の専門家も来てコメントをいただけましたが、そんな中、わかる人にはナンセンスとすぐわかる議論を読むだけでほぼ1回というのは、いささか物足りなかったかもしれません。
でも、このパトナムの議論は（結論からすればパトナムに反論する側にさえ）影響力を持っており、「ではこの議論のどこがおかしいのか」というのは、それほど明確に認識されていません。
ですから、元のパトナムの議論を少し丁寧に見ておくことにしました。次回はパトナムへの批判をきちんとする予定です。
