Just Dance 4 is the fourth main game in the dancing series where players are rated for their ability to mimic dance routines to popular songs.

New to the series are the dance quests where six missions are provided for a single song. By completing them mojo points, the in-game currency, are earned. Players can create dancer cards as a profile for favourite songs, best scores and completed challenges. The sweat mode from the previous game that counts calories has been developed into a fitness-like program with a different focus for each routine and they can last up to 40 minutes. It also includes warm-up and cool-down moments. Other game modes are the battle mode and dance mash-up mode.

Exclusive to the Wii U version is the puppet master mode where the GamePad is used to manipulate visuals, playlists and moves on the fly for up to four other players. It can also be used to write on the screen and to record pictures and videos.

Murfy the greenbottle appears on some levels to aid the players.

The game includes regular side-scrolling levels, "invaded" versions of levels that need to be completed as quickly as possible and rhythm-based levels with humorous covers of popular songs.

Just Dance 2014 is the fifth main game in the dancing series where players are rated for their ability to mimic dance routines to popular songs. For consoles supporting a microphone, a karaoke mode is supported. There the game does not rate the player's words, but the notes and pitch.

Returning from the previous games is the classic free-dance mode. A new on-stage mode has one player doing a lead role while two other players do backup routines. Another mode introduces ghost recordings of routines from prior games to compete. The party master mode is exclusive to Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and builds on the pupper master mode from the Wii U version of Just Dance 4. Starsky & Hutch is a game based on the popular TV series from the 70s, released to tie in with the film. The game includes 18 missions, each based on an episode of the TV show and introduced by Antonio 'Huggy Bear' Fargas. There is also a free roaming mode, in which the player explores the GTA-esque environment looking for action and trouble.

Like the film, the game does not entirely play it straight. Starsky & Hutch are actually shooting a TV show, and the scoring for each mission reflects how ratings-friendly your driving is. You are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals for each mission depending on performance, and must get at least 1 gold and 2 silvers on season 1 for a second season to be commissioned, and 3 golds and 2 silvers in season 2 for there to be a third for you to play through.

The overall goal in each mission is usually to chase and destroy a criminal's car. There is always a secondary target as well. In addition, the player will gain viewers by hitting the bad guy, pulling off elaborate jumps and skids, nearly hitting civilians, and hitting the bonus targets such as canisters which are strewn through the levels.
