７月１１日、彼が西瓜視頻で発表した動画のタイトルは「日本がもし軍事的に我が国の台湾統一問題に干渉してきたら、我が国は必ず"核攻撃日本例外論"を打ち出すべき」というもので、そのナレーションをはじめ内容や憎しみの激しさは類を見ないほどだ。
日本が一兵卒、一砲弾でも動かそうものなら、中国は直ちに日本を核攻撃し、それも日本が無条件降伏をするまで核爆弾を投げ続けるとある。中国は1964年に原爆実験に成功し、それ以来「決して中国側から先に核爆弾を使うことはない」と言ってきたが、「日本だけは例外だ！」として、かつて日本が中国を侵略した歴史を並べ立てた。
7月12日にアメリカのRFA（Radio Free Asia）がツイッターでつぶやき、アメリカにまで拡散し始めたのを見て、中国政府は直ちにこの動画を削除し、さらにWEIBO上における、この動画へのコメントまで徹底して削除したので、そのことがまたアメリカで大きな話題になった。
