「Slaves and Masters」発表後のツアーよりBurn。「Slaves and Masters」は元Rainbowのヴォーカルのジョー・リンターナーを迎えて制作。発売当時コアなDeep Purpleファンから親の仇のようにバッシングされてしまったなんとも可哀想なアルバム。そんな彼らのツアー1曲目がBurn。ギランは絶対歌わないBurn。勿論Voはジョー・リンターナー。声きつそうですけどなかなか味があって良い！当時のギランと比べたら、ジョーの方が絶対に上手い！結局ジョーはこのツアー後、次作のアルバム製作中にベースのロジャー・グローバーや、レコード会社・マネージメントの思惑によりバンドを追放されてしまいます。そしてイアン・ギランを迎えて作成されたのが世紀の駄作「Battle Rages on」...ちなみに全盛期のイアン・ギランは大好きですよ。METALコミュ→co2070831
