Super Mario Bros. is a platforming game for the Nintendo Entertainment System and quite possibly the most influential game ever released for the console. Having been bundled with every brand new NES console, it is the game most people think of when it comes to the NES. Just about every platforming game in the '80s and '90s has taken inspiration from this game one way or another.

In this run, HappyLee ( https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/HappyLee) plays through the European version of the game which has a few differences to the NTSC versions. For one, the flagpole glitch is much easier to pull off and can be done in basically any level. There's also differences in acceleration as compared to the NTSC version, and a glitch that makes Mario fall through the floor more easily.

Note: Using RTA timing, this run clocks in at 04:51.70.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is the infamous sequel to Super Mario Bros. that was released only in Japan for the Famicom Disk System. Considered too difficult and too similar to the original game, it was skipped over for localization in favor of making Doki Doki Panic into the actual Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES. This game would later be remade in Super Mario All-Stars as Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.

The efforts of many authors were combined to find a way to beat the game just a little bit faster. By exploiting a subroutine bug in the final level of the game, arbitrary code can be executed that can make it skip right to the "Congratulations" sequence. Kirby's Adventure is a colorful game that's very long for a NES title. However, a bug was discovered which caused unpredictable results (including triggering the credits) upon using the Stone power while entering the water.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is a role-playing video game developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance in 2003. It follows Mario and Luigi as they travel to Beanbean Kingdom in order to restore Princess Peach's voice from the clutches of Cackletta, who plans to use her voice to activate the Beanstar and have her wish to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom granted.
