Demon's Crest is the third installment of the Gargoyle's Quest series. The player controls Firebrand, who is scouring the Demon Realm for elemental Crests, which preside over different elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Time, and Heaven). When collected, these crests allow Firebrand to transform his shape at will and gain powerful new abilities and defenses. Demon's Crest is notorious for some very difficult bosses. In this run, the author abuses boss weaknesses to the extreme by carefully switching Gargoyle forms as necessary. In addition, heavy luck manipulation was used during several encounters to make the otherwise troublesome boss fights look easier than a play through of Barney's Hide and Seek.

Having transcended the need for all of that collection and exploration, Sniq ( https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Sniq ) and NobodyNada ( https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/N... ) goes out of bounds to manipulate stray RAM data and force the ending sequence directly—within just a couple minutes from landing on the planet. As a result, no items are ever collected.

It starts out in platform mode, where you can collect dragon points. When you have enough, you can transform into a powerful dragon, turning the game into a autoscrolling shooter. The game scrolls slowly in this mode, but the dragon moves fast. By continuously switching between the two modes, it allows the player to go as fast as possible, which makes an otherwise boring game interesting.
