中国製の監視装置、英国政府機関の機密区域から撤去へ
イギリス内閣府は、北京政府による潜在的な情報収集を制限するため、中央政府の部局に対し、ダーファ・テクノロジー （Dahua Technology） やハイクビジョン （Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology ） といった中国企業製の監視装置を機密区域からすべて撤去するよう求める予定です。
内閣府のジェレミー・クイン（Jeremy Quin）国務大臣は、「この新しい措置は、国家安全保障を脅かす可能性のある企業から我々の機密分野を守り、イギリスに害を与えようとする敵対的な要素に対する確固たる抑止力として機能する」と述べています。
イギリスの監視カメラ設備署のフレイザー・サンプソン（Fraser Sampson）署長調査によると、イングランドとウェールズの警察が使用している監視機器の少なくとも3分の1はハイビジョン製であることが分かりました。
今回の命令により、政府財産のから大量の既存機器が除かれることが考えられます。
