TAS SNES "100%" Secret of Evermore (USA v1.0) in 2:04:06.12 5/5
by W.S. (aka. Saturn). Shapeshifting dogs. Evil robots. Alchemy. Cheesy B movie references. These are all par for the course in Secret of Evermore, a very loose "sequel" to Secret of Mana. The story follows a boy that is thrust into a virtual world and finds himself with no immediate means to escape. As the boy travels, the geography changes to reflect certain eras of real-life history, adding a unique aspect to the game. The author has aimed for fastest time with 100% completion. A note about the ending: normally the full ending would take almost 40 minutes to watch, but 29 minutes worth of waiting have been edited out of the AVI. There is no sound during this segment and the image does not change. A message will appear briefly to indicate when this happens.

TAS SNES Young Merlin (USA) in 40:02.2 by Daan Terra (aka. DaTeL237).
When Merlin was a young Sokoban man, he enjoyed life through minecart-surfing, skin-diving and burrow-crawling. Abusing glitchy spells and items, he wandered the world along with a frozen lady who came from the lake, in the Meanwhile, occasionally beating bad things like meanie trees, yestoday's launch and even a crouching dragon. The author collects all heart pieces and other non-respawning items even without actually touching all of them. However, it is pretty sad that the prize T-shirt will never seem to be awarded with, although the "100% heart pieces collected" screen after the credits says so.
TAS SNES Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt (USA) in 13:58.63
by Torfi Gunnarsson (aka. Blublu). Pugsley's scavenger hunt is an extremely fast paced game, which makes it difficult. It is made even more difficult by playing on the hardest setting, which gives Pugsley only one single heart, meaning that he dies in one hit. The movie itself looks very impressive and it really gives the impression that the player knows what he is doing. The author uses a trick known as the wall-jump to climb vertical walls. This allows for many creative shortcuts.
TAS SNES Wild Guns (USA) in 19:07.55 by Nick Mong (aka. mmbossman).
A science-fiction/western game. One peculiar feature is that the character's movement and aim are controlled simultaneously. This is nearly a 6 minute improvement over the previous movie due to the use of 2 players, more accuracy, and some nice tricks. The author has also embedded a few subliminal message throughout the movie. Details can be found in the author's comments.
TAS SNES Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel (USA) in 09:38.85 by Filip Roskvist (aka. Cpadolf).
This game has many qualities that make it a good candidate for TASing. These include nice and soft graphics, music that's not painful to listen to and, of course, a very speedy main character. The game is not meant to be quite as straightforward as it would seem by watching this movie, as the author takes many shortcuts that require extremely precise jumping. A downside to this game is that the bosses sometimes have long invulnerability periods, meaning that Zero has to wait a bit in-between hits and cannot spam the bosses with 20 hits per second. This is an improvement of well over one and a half minutes due to better optimizations, new shortcuts and tricks
Why by Ayaka (Cover by me) Final Fantasy Crisis Core ending
Song: WhyArtist: AyakaGame: Final Fantasy Crisis CoreCover: Lex (Redkunoichi)Please keep in mind that I sang and recorded this in one try. I never heard this version of this song so I tried my best to sing along with it. I didn't even know that the song ended on the 2nd chorus so I kept singing like a baka... -_-*I was watching this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHf58GVPgPkI took a break from recording my para para dances and came across this song. I decided to record it since I had my camera with me. I wanted to sing this song at the Fanime karaoke contest, but I didn't make it in time. There's always next time. ^_^--------------All rights reserved. The song does not belong to me.

TAS SNES Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (USA v1.0) in 31:56.8 2/2
by Tomas Abrahamsson (aka. Tompa). Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (1996) was among the later games released on SNES, which had its positive impact on production values. As a result, the game sports remarkable design and animation quality. In addition to that, it stars Donald Duck in the role of Maui Mallard, a detective with an alter ego of a blindfolded ninja called Cold Shadow, on the task of retrieving the lost Shabum Shabum idol on a remote tropical island. And no, the plot doesn't get more sensible from that point on.
TAS GBA Sonic Advance 2 (USA) in 18:44.97 by JSP (aka. Nitsuja).
Disappointed with slow paced movies that may be good but just move too slowly? Look no further, nitsuja in this extremely high-speed run demonstrates how to break the sound barrier and why Sonic is the fastest character in the video game universe. The average character movement speed in this movie is probably the highest of all the movies on this site. This movie doesn't collect any of the Chaos Emeralds, but does demonstrate almost every single move that Sonic is capable of in this game.

TAS SNES Inspector Gadget (USA) in 14:00.25 by Kirk L. (aka. BioSpark).
Inspector Gadget is a cartoon series featuring a bumbling cyborg, his clever niece Penny and her super intelligent dog Brain. Despite his many useful abilities like helicoptering and a hand that comes out of his head, the Inspector must constantly rely upon Penny and Brain to defeat his arch-nemesis Dr. Claw week after week. However, in this game he must save Penny from several kidnappings without such aid. In another major departure from the television series, Dr. Claw's face is shown briefly. The author abuses Inpector Gadget's gadgets to do things clearly not intended by the game designers. Whether floating through stages or grappling with his head-hand, large sections are skipped and bosses dispatched expeditiously.
TAS SNES Final Fight 3 (USA) in 18:18.63 by Michael Dahn (aka. Diman).
The third installment of the Final Fight series has Guy dressing up in a dashing outfit and murdering hundreds of people in less time than it takes to watch the local news. All in the name of vanquishing evil, of course. Paraphrased from the author's submission: This run uses tools - Sledgehammers, which I get from the barrels. THAT'S a real tool-assisted run! (I know it's a bad joke but I couldn't resist it :P)

Your goal is to become the Avalanche champion. The author's aims for this game were: Complete the game as fast as possible on its highest difficulty. To entertain the viewer with the combos, instead of just making them. To attain the highest score possible without losing time. This is actually the third submission for this game that we have received.
tas SNES Family Feud (USA) in 06:46.28 by Tom White (aka. Heisanevilgenius).
Family Feud (1993) follows the premise of the American TV show of the same name. Two families are pit against each other in a contest aimed at guessing the results of a public survey. The first family member to press a button and give a concise answer that happens to be on the survey, earns points. The last round allows both families to list several of the existing survey answers in a very short time period. Heisanevilgenius's family, The As, ignores all that and goes with elaborate and utter nonsense instead… only to find the host accepting their answers as correct. The other family, The Halls, doesn't even get the chance to insert a word, proving the racial prejudice of the host. Watch the game and see for yourself. Note: some answers contain coarse language.
TAS SNES BS Kaizou Choujin Shubibinman Zero (JPN) in 12:48.17
by Thomas Robson (aka. TheRandomPie_IV). from TASvideo.org This is a game based on the completely "unique" concept of an evil boss trying to take over/destroy/do whatever with the world, and despite the Earth being filled with about 7 billion occupants, you are the only one who can stop it. At first glance it may seem odd that, although the game is two player, only one player is used, and that's Player 2. Player 2 was chosen because her aerial attack gives an enormous speed boost. It is also one of the few attacks in video games that operates on frame precision, so smashing out a 30Hz rapid-fire on the controller will lay the beatdown pretty quickly. That, combined with the fact that half the enemies in this game are of the standard "walk around and shoot" variety, allow the heroine to zip through the game with total reckless abandon. Few games allow a TASer to do that, so this is a rare opportunity indeed.
TAS SNES Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (USA) in 19:08.1
by Mário de Almeida Azevedo Junior (aka. FODA) and Nick Vatcher. from TASvideo.org This is that game that looks like a remake of the first Battletoads game. The Toads go after Silas Volkmire and Dark Queen because someone was kidnapped again... Features 2 players and aims for fastest completion time while bashing through the enemies and showing off.

TAS SNES Sparkster (USA) in 18:16.48 by Filip Roskvist (aka. Cpadolf).
from TASvideo.org Another movie that's so fast you can hardly see what's going on. The main character can use his rocket dash to inflict a lot of damage on his opponents as well as bounce off walls and ceilings. Cpadolf's movie is an incredible improvement to Nitsuja's movie, which was itself 5 minute improvement to previously published version. Cutting off 80 seconds from that TAS was certainly no easy task. Like the previous movie, this is played at the hardest difficulty, crazy hard.
TAS NES Darkwing Duck (USA) in 10:59.5
from TASvideo.org by Андрей Стребков (aka. AnS) & Johan Södling (aka. Randil). Darkwing Duck (1992) is a platformer somewhat similar to Mega Man in gameplay and difficulty. The arrow gun allows the player to climb up walls and use creative shortcuts so that the absolute shortest route can be taken. In case you are wondering why the character keeps on jumping so much, it is because he has to wait a short amount of time before being able to walk. With constant jumping these stops can be avoided. This movie is a joint venture between AnS and Randil to improve the previous Darkwing Duck run by Walker Boh, resulting in 35.7 seconds saved through means of extensive optimization, luck manipulation and lag removal. We recommend reading the authors' comments for more details.
