While it was known for years that the fight lay below the floor, the only way to get there early was to hack your position through the floor.
Fire Cape Mario's discovery of the Crystal Storage Glitch has enabled speedrunners to perform many new glitches and tricks, which now allows the possibility of fighting Sigma almost immediately, beating the game in under 10 minutes.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (originally known as 悪魔城伝説 or Akumajō Densetsu, meaning "Legend of the Demon Castle") is the story of Trevor Belmont's battle against Dracula from the times before Simon's battle in Castlevania. In this complex and difficult game, there are three playable allies whom Trevor can recruit: Alucard (Dracula's son), Grant DaNasty (a pirate captain), and Sypha Belnades (a mystic warlord).

This movie takes the path that recruits Grant. It is nearly 2 minutes faster than the previous version thanks to a lot of findings over the years. Unlike it's predecessors, this movie uses the USA version of the game, because it allows new tricks that gains a lot of time. OlliOlli is a 2D side-scrolling street skateboarding game with a pixel visual style. The player guides a skateboarder through different levels with many objectives to complete, such as reaching a certain score, performing a specific trick, catching air, pushing a limited amount of times, grinding specific objects, or getting certain landings. There are no enemies in the environment, so the focus is entirely on solo play performing tricks by jumping, doing spins, grabs, slides, flips, kicks, etc. The skater moves forward automatically and the player uses keys or buttons to spin left or right, jump, perform tricks, and also a key or button to control the landing. The amount of buttons is limited, but timing is important. Tricks can be linked together into combos.

There are five different environments with ten levels each. These are split up in five amateur and five pro levels, each with five objectives. Later levels have more obstacles and hazards.

Capcom decided to make some easy money, so they recycled parts of Mega Man X5, threw in overly difficult trial-and-error gameplay, made almost everything an obstacle course, and called it Mega Man X6.

Rescuing all Reploids on Xtreme mode is inadvisable for all but the most hardcore, yet this TAS makes it look easy. Not only that, it collects everything that can be collected before beating the game.

Contrary to the other Rondo of Blood TASes on the site, this one not only goes through the hurdles of saving three useless villagers from their prisons (with some of said prisons even resembling their regular habitats), but also plays through all the picturesque levels just to prove that Maria isn't really a suboptimal character. No videogame character fighting dark priests by stoning them to death with small white birds should ever be called suboptimal.

As you can see here, the original Castlevania wasn't only on the NES, but also on the MSX computer under the name "Vampire Killer".

This version is different in some important ways. Some new gameplay elements include the requirement to collect a white key in each stage in order to advance, the removal of the chain whip after each boss battle, and the ability to buy subweapons from sitting bystanders in white or red clothes.

This is an improvement of 01:00.38 over the previous run thanks to a few new time-saving tricks.

Note: To play the OMR file, you'll need to have openMSX 20.0 with the Panasonic FS-A1WSX BIOS installed.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is the 2nd game in the Super Mario Bros. franchise, except it's technically not. Instead, it's a reskin of a different game called Doki Doki Panic, and was released in North America as the sequel to the original Super Mario Bros., as Nintendo of America thought the actual sequel (which is known as The Lost Levels today) was too similar to its predecessor and too difficult for the American audience.

This is a 00:07.39 second improvement over the previous submission thanks to a new strategy that involves killing the mouser boss with an invincibility star.
