広島のウラン爆発と長崎のプルトニウム爆発は、日本列島特有の自然環境と地理と、特攻隊員をフル活用した、一揃いの核実験だったということになるという仮説。広島原爆は元安川で起爆させられ、長崎原爆は浦上川で起爆させられた可能性がある。
広島の原爆も、長崎の原爆もB29から空から投下されたのではなく、日本の海面で爆発し、火球が上に上がっていったものと推定される。広島で爆発があった際に、B29は飛んでおらず、警戒警報もなっていなかった。その時、日本軍の紫電改が広島上空を飛行しており撃墜王の方はB29を見ていないと言っている。はだしのゲンの作者はB29を見たと言っているが、飛行機雲の線が１つだったといっており、飛行機雲≒B29との誤解であったと思われる。紫電改の飛行機雲は1筋。B29の飛行機雲は4筋と明らかな違いがある。

アインシュタインは原爆についてルーズベルト大統領に手紙を出した際、原爆を製造ではなく、原爆を建造（construct）と書いた。なぜなら原爆とは大きな構造物であり、実験でも棟で実施したり、英国でも船で実施したりしており、空から落とす技術は当時はなかったと言われる。

砂漠の町、ジェロームタウンを訪れたバン達一行は、共和国の爆弾処理部隊を率いるカニンガムと出会う。カニンガムと別れ、町を後にしたバンは、共和国軍警察特別捜査官ドーセットからカニンガム達の真の目的を聞かされる。爆弾処理と偽って、砂漠に埋もれた軍資金を手に入れようとしているのだという。カニンガム逮捕に協力して欲しいと頼まれたバンは快く手助けすることになる。翌日、バンは見学と偽ってカニンガム部隊の作業場を訪れる。一方、ドーセットは岩陰に隠れ、部隊の行動を見守っていた。やがて地中からコンテナが吊り上げられたとき、岩陰からガンスナイパーに乗ったドーセットが現れた！ドーセットはカニンガム部隊を次々となぎ倒し、コンテナと共に1人逃げたカニンガムを追う。カニンガムに追いつきニヤリとするドーセット。実はこの計画は、2人が共謀したものだったのだ…！追い詰めるバンだが…！

ジェノザウラーに破壊されたグスタフをレッドリバー基地へと運ぶバン達。レイヴンとの戦いに対する緊張や不安も、ムンベイやアーバインの存在によって和らげられるバン。一方、共和国からの技術提供で作られた、帝国のストームソーダー・ステルスタイプ、通称ＳＳＳ（スリーエス）を狙うラルフとミューラー。彼らはヒルツの支配下に下り、その命によりＳＳＳを盗みに来たのだった。作戦通り、ＳＳＳを奪うラルフとミューラー。ハーマンから知らせを聞いたバン達は、ストームソーダーのコマンドオプションを狙ってヒルツが基地を襲うことを予測し、迎撃に備える。予想通り、基地を襲ってきたＳＳＳ。応戦するバン達だが、ステルス機能を持つストームソーダ―に苦戦する。そこへロッソとヴィオーラが駆け付け、激しい空中戦が展開される。
