コエルロサウルス類の中でも最も大きいとされる種。小型のコエルロサウルス類は二足歩行の体格をしているのに対し、大型の体格を支えるために四足歩行へと進化している。

外敵への防衛手段として使われていた前足は重量を支える役割へと変化したためか、頭部には固く鋭い角が前後に1本ずつ生えておる。この角を使うことで防衛手段としたのではないかと考えられている。
