接して、ユーモア溢れる分かりやすい
話し方や明るい人柄で本当に大変、大評判
だったそうです。
その甲斐あってか、祖國アルゼンチンの人達の心の支えになっていたと思います。

バチカン市国及び聖座の賛歌「Hymnus et modus militaris Pontificalis 賛歌と教皇の行進曲」、通称「教皇賛歌」も日本語訳詞を作ってほしいとリクエストをいただきました。
この曲は「世界の人々の心に語りかけるものであるから、国歌と呼ぶべきではないことを強調する」とバチカンの解説に書いてあります。当局がそう言うのですから、これはバチカン市国国歌ではありません。
作曲は「アヴェ・マリア」で有名なグノーです。1949年に作られた最初の歌詞はイタリア語です。他言語版も作られているようです。母国語に関係ない歌詞として1991年にラテン語の歌詞が作られました。
ラテン語版は所々異なる２バージョンがあります。バチカンのサイトに載っている歌詞は２節目が「Sedes es Petri, qui Romae effudit sanguinem ローマで血を流した者であるペトロの座」の方ですから、こちらを訳しました。動画等では「Sedes es Petri, qui Christi vicem gerit キリストを継ぐ者であるペトロの座」の方が多いようです。
キリスト教の定型句が多いので、用語が適切でなかったらご指摘下さい。
