「線路はつづくよどこまでも」（原曲名 I've Been Working on the Railroad）は、アメリカの民謡で、原曲は、黒人労働者による堤防工事についての歌でしたが、時代による労働内容の変化によって鉄道労働者の歌になったと考えられています。

現在では子供むけの童謡になっています。

その「線路はつづくよどこまでも」をファミリーベーシックで奏でてみました。

ファミリーベーシックは、簡単にいうと、ファミコンを8ビットパソコンのようにプログラミングができるようにする周辺機器です。

自分でゲームのプログラムを作ったり、「MML（Music Macro Language）」という音楽専用のプログラミング言語を入力したり音楽を奏でることが可能です。

今回は、そのMMLをファミリーベーシックでに入力して、「線路はつづくよどこまでも」を演奏したものです。

Created around October 22, 2023 using the high-speed version of WinX68k and Z-MUSIC Ver.2.
Without the sheet music from Microcomputer Basic Magazine, I wouldn't have been able to make this bass.
I'm using an X68000 emulator, but I input everything from the tones to the MML program myself, so if I could bring it to the actual device, I should be able to listen to it in the same way.

作詞者は、佐木敏で、これは『みんなのうた』の二代目のディレクターであった後藤田純生のペンネームです。

しかし、作詞は佐木敏の単独作業によるものではなく、「ノッポさん」こと高見映による原案を元に、当時の番組スタッフの共同作業により作られました。

その「線路はつづくよどこまでも」を、雪さんことWhiteCULに歌ってもらいました。

伴奏はファミコンの音源（Magical 8bit Plug 2使用）、CASIOのシンセサイザーのCASIO CZの音源（VIRTUAL CZ使用）、CASIOのCasiotone ミニキーボード SA-46のリズムに収録されているスレンテンリディムを、MacのDTMソフトのGarageBandで組み合わせ、それをWindowsのDTMソフトのStudio Oneでミックス作業を行い完成させました。

動画は、ゆっくりMovieMaker4で制作しました。
