In Metal Max, a mysterious war known as "The Havoc" has almost destroyed the human civilization. It's unknown how it broke out, and no one even dares to find out. Released by Data East in Japan in 1991, Metal Max was one of the more "creative" console role-playing games due to more freedom in the story.
