この曲をスコットランドの民族楽器で演奏するアレンジはアリなのかな？もしかしてまずいのでは？と思いましたが、まあ、音楽にタブーは無い！と思いましてやってみました。何か失礼がありましたら申し訳ありません。
バグパイプは私が好きなのでこれからもバグパイプアレンジはつくりたいと思います。

アルメニアの作曲家 アルノ・ババジャニアン (1921 - 1983) と アレクサンドル・アルチュニアン (1920 - 2012) による室内楽共作『２台ピアノと２人の打楽器奏者による "祝典"(1960)』ですー

1921年1月21日(*), 数学教師の父親とロシア語教師の母親のもと, 共産化されて成立間もないアルメニア・ソビエト社会主義国の首都 エレバンで生まれました
アルメニア・ソビエト社会主義国が成立したのは1920年12月3日のことであり, 以前はアルメニア人による自治を主体としたダシュナク党政権下のアルメニア第一共和国でした
したがって, ババジャニアンはアルチュニアンより４か月年下なだけで, 出生地も同じエレバンなのに, 実は生まれた国が違うんですよね…　なんかこう…グッときますよね　…ん？
さて, 父親は音楽の専門家ではありませんでしたが, フルートやアルメニアの民族楽器を流暢に操り, 触発されたアルノは３歳にして家にあった古いハルモニウムを奏で始めたといいます

そんな彼の将来を決定づけたのは幼い頃のある出来事だったとのちに述懐しています

ババジャニアンが幼稚園で過ごしていると外部から来た青年が「歌がじょうずな子はいるかな？みんなで唄ってみよっか」と園児らに問いかけました
少年 アルノは唄いながら足で地面を蹴りつつリズムを取ることにしました
それを目の当たりにした青年は「素晴らしい！君は音楽に向いている！いや音楽の道に進むべきだ！！」と絶賛

のちにその青年が若き日のアラム・ハチャトゥリアンであったことに気づかされます
ババジャニアン５歳, ハチャトゥリアン 23歳. アルメニアを代表する作曲家となる２人の初めての邂逅でした…

(*) 彼の誕生日は1月22日と紹介されることが多いですが, 実際は1月21日です
これは1924年1月21日にロシアを率いてきた指導者 レーニンが鬼籍に入り, 以後 ババジャニアン家では毎年1月21日を喪に服す日と父 ハルチュンが決め, アルノの誕生を祝う日をずらしたことに由来しています
事実, 彼のパスポートなども出生日を1月22日と改変したまま生涯過ごしていたようです
