「ムーン・リバー」をファミコンで演奏してみた【ファミコン音源/ファミリーベーシック】
ファミコンの周辺機器にファミリーベーシックがあります。ファミコン本体にBASIC言語を組み込んだロムカセットと、ファミコン本体のエキスパンドコネクタにキーボードを接続して、BASICの文法に基づいた簡単なゲームプログラムを自作することができるようにするものです。
このBASIC（ハドソン開発のHu-BASICを元に、任天堂、シャープとの3社共同開発「NS-Hu BASIC」が正式名称です）は音楽演奏を表現するMMLという言語も打ち込めるので、ファミコンの音源で音楽を制作することも可能です。
MMLとは、Music Macro Language（ミュージック・マクロ・ランゲージ）の略で、初期のパソコンでの音楽演奏によく使われました。特徴は、通常楽曲として聞くに堪える音声信号を直接表現しようとすると膨大なデータ量になるのに対して、文字列で簡単にシーケンスデータ（自動演奏させるデータです）を入力して音楽を奏でるためデータが軽くなるということです。MMLはデータが軽いという利点があるためか、現在もよく使われています）。
MMLをファミリーベーシックで打ち込み、「メヌエットト長調」を演奏しました。

【音羽 オリジナル曲 instrumental】終わりは始まり（ending is beginning）
すべてに終わりがあり、同時に始まりがあるということを体験して、同時にこの曲を完成させました。最初、管楽器を使って作って、パレードみたいにと思ったんだけど、形を変えて行き、オルゴールでも作って見たりして、結果、弦楽器が主体になりました。最後、題名は、「終わりは始まり」となりました。迷いが多い作品でしたが、形になったので、こちらへ登録します。タイトルも、パレード？卒業？と迷ったのですが、最後に決まったのは、「終わりは始まり」でした。
