「日米構造協議(SII)」
日米構造協議(SII)とは、Structural Impediments Initiativeの略で日本とアメリカが、両国の間の貿易と国際収支の不均衡となっている構造問題を解決することを目的として開催した協議。1989～1990年まで5回にわたって開催された。
日本側は、社会資本整備のための公共投資の拡大、株式の相互持合いの解消、大規模小売店舗法の規制緩和、談合や系列取引などの排他的取引慣行の是正や独占禁止法の強化などの実施を約束した。
