「遠心分離機」made with SunoAI
[Verse 1]
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Pre-Chorus]
[Instrumental Break]
(Four-on-the-floor, deep bass, hypnotic synths)
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
[Outro]

[Verse 1]
In the atelier after rain, by the pale white window
I softly lined up tiny pearls alone
With the honesty of a white pearl’s gentle glow
I wished I could heal somebody’s hidden scars
Paint-stained fingertips tracing through the night
Holding even broken dreams close as I sleep
The pink pearl shining softly near my heart
A patient kind of love still quietly breathes
[Bridge]
The days I hide my tears away
The pearls shine even more in silence
As if whispering, “You’ll be alright”
Moon-colored light falls down on me

Spotter [original Vocaloid6, asa]
Melancholic synth-pop featuring synths and, er, mellow sounds, words and vibes. Oh, and train noises. Our protagonist is mistaken as a spotter ... but isn't one.
Tech Notes
Quite a bit of Arturia: a bought a bundle in one of the sales last year and I'm still not out of the honeymoon period: J8, Pro-V are in there (both detuned by the sounds of it). The Fairlight editing options are unfathomable atm. I'll either have to read the manual 🤯 or just play Art Of Noise presets. Vocal synth is Asa from Vocaloid.
I've dabbled with a few video editing tools over the last year or so -- including Openshot, Da Vinci -- for stitching together pexels and Prelinger content. My current favourite is vizzy.io. It can be as complicated as some of the others, editing is in the browser, but I like ease of audio response. I'm only after a better wallpaper for Nico uploads tbh.

SONICWARE LIVEN TeXture Lab UNBOXING (w/ KORG KAOSSILATOR)

I like Sonicware's ambitious products and have bought many of them, and I finally got around to unpacking one of them.
It is very interesting because it is possible to create exhilarating sounds that are difficult to create with ordinary synths and samplers, just by touching a few knobs. It may take some getting used to in order to get the sound you want, but it is a product that you can play with for a long time just by plugging in various samples.

Mockingdude [original song, Vocaloid, Lucas]
What the hell's a djembe? No, me neither. So it gets an airing in the intro. Tried to hit a just-behind-the-beat edginess to fit in with the just-behind-comfortable intent of the song.
Not sure on the genre.
Tech Corner
More clangs and thuds from Backbone (and Groove Agent); synthery from UAD, Padshop, Retrologue; Japanese violin-thing from layered Reason NN-XT samples buried under Ripley delay; pompously named "The Grand" piano from Steinberg. These are a few of my favourite things.
Vocal synths from Lucas, doing stuff that I just can't manage.
Getting Late (original song, Vocaloid, Taku & Jessica)
It's about being let down on a night out, as a metaphor for being let down more generally.
Tech Notes
Drums are from Groove Agent, Backbone and Reason loops played in Dr.OctoRex. Bass sounds from Halion, Roland Zenology (the free one), Reason Malstrom & Subtractor Combo'd, Arturia CS-80. Synths and gurgles from Halion, Padshop, Retrologue; The Grand piano; BBC brass touches; Reason cello (via NN-XT); choir sounds from Halion (Olympus) & Reason (NN-XT & NN19). More elements than I remembered!
Vocal synths are courtesy of Vocaloid 6's Taku & Jessica.
More delay (Studio Delay mainly) and reverb (Arturia Plate 140) than I remembered!

Poor Lamb [original song, Vocaloid, Taku/Jessica]
The song's about a fool, ambling through life, without any sense of worth or, eek, responsibility.
Tech Notes
Sonic control (sounds glamorous?) -- from stock Cubase frequency 2 plug-in and Black Valve compression (side-chained on the bass from the drums). Numerous subtle delays & reverbs and a nod to the ModMachine for kick-drum accents that go boing. Drums are Halion and Backbone combined. Bass sounds from Halion too, with added Reason Bass and Cello. Synths abound: including Halion World Instruments (the chiffy bottle), Padshop, Retrologue, UAD PolyMAX, Full Bucket's Oxid. Vocal synths are courtesy of Vocaloid 6's Taku & Jessica.

Black and Blue (original song, Vocaloid, Asahi/Sandra/Allen)
In a similar vein to 10cc's song, penned some time back, this track is also about "the things we do for love". Unlike that 70s number, this song's a bit wonky in terms of structure, which fits the track's intent too. I wasn't sure about the piano coda but it cross-faded nicely into the next track so I kept it!
Tech Notes
Drums are from Groove Agent with Halion clangs. Bass sounds from Tricent (full bucket.de 💪) and Halion. Synths and beeps from CS-80, Halion, Padshop, UAD PolyMAX, more Tricent, Retrologue; 'The Grand' piano. Vocal synths are courtesy of Vocaloid 6's Asahi, Sandra & Allen.
Painting Portraits [Original Song, Vocaloid, Lucas & Jessica]
The song built whilst doodling with sounds from the Full Bucket emulators -- e.g. https://www.fullbucket.de/music/paralogy.html -- lots of retro subtractive synthesis goodness. These framed the [spoiler alert] alarm sounds through the intro and the track spluttered into life (hopefully) from there. It paints a brief picture (ha, ha) of an artist trying to put their model at ease. There were more verses fluffing out the story but, thankfully, I didn't think the song needed them.
Tech Notes
Drums are from Reason Kong through assorted Reason hosted effects. Although the Reason instruments are all individually routable to Cubase -- as are the effects via VST -- sometimes it's just easier to stitch together at source. It is a fully fledged DAW in its own right. Guitary jangles are also from there using the Mimic sampler. There's a smorgasbord of synths from (deep breath) Full Bucket's emulators Bucket ONE (Bit 01) and Paralogy (Trilogy and Stratus), Reason Subtractor and Malstrom (piped through some Matrix Pattern shizzle), Halion Voltage, Arturia CS-80 , UAD PolyMAX, Retrologue, Olympus Choir. Vocal synths are courtesy of Vocaloid 6's Lucas & Jessica.

Tech Notes
Lots of favourites amongst the twenty-three sound sources: Auron, Trip (Halion), Oxid (fullbucket.de), CS80 (Arturia), PolyMax (UAD) Padshop, Retrologue (Cubase), Thor (Reason) synths, NN-XT (Reason) sampler, vocal synth (Akito & Jessica, Vocaloid).

Ceremonial (original song, Vocaloid, Brian & Sandra)
It's a melancholic synth-pop song. There are a few songwriting gurus that I follow (YouTube or Instagram), whose wisdom is that the lyrics should convey a story, with development that leads the listener in, provides a connection. Sorry about this: mine tend to be deliberately vague and I like them that way. The listener has to use their imagination to ascertain what it's about. Or not. tbh their advice is sound and probably correct. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him write better lyrics.
Tech Notes
Usual synth sounds and FX (see videos passim) plus a shout out to Arturia REV PLATE-140, UAD Pure Plate Reverb, UAD 1176 Compressor, Steinberg AutoFilter -- who all get an airing. Vocal synths from Brian & Sandra, Vocaloid.
Accurate Silence [original song, Vocaloid, Hayato]
In a former life, I worked next door to the Tate Modern and would take my breaks there to peruse Rothko's "Seagram Murals" whilst they were in situ. Mr. Rothko took exception to his original commission -- the creations were to be displayed in the restaurant in the Seagram Building -- deciding that the paintings should not be presented as a backdrop to rich folk chomping on their dinner. [Citation required!]
This song tries to embrace that theme -- it has a edgier, industrial tone to try and capture the angst. Sorry, Mark.
Tech Notes
Drums are from Groove Agent and Backbone. Bass sounds from Reason. Synths and gurgles from Halion, Arturia CS80, the wonderfully grainy "Bloom Vocal Aether", Full Bucket's NY and Oxid. Vocal synths are courtesy of Vocaloid 6's Hayato, a relatively new kid on the block.
Psalm [original song, Vocaloid, Lucas]
Although it sounds religious, it's not about religion. The phrasing may hint at this but the intent is more broad: of seeking solace in known, trusted sources, regardless of their efficacy. OK, that does sound like religion ... but it's not what I had in mind.
Tech Notes
Drums sounds are Groove Agent with audio samples. Bass sounds from Retrologue, Subtractor & Malstrom (lots of processing), and Full Bucket Tricent emulator; orchestral samples from Reason for violin and clarinet; plus French Horn from Spitfire BBC. More synths from Halion, Arturia CS-80, Thor, Full Bucket Oxid. Vocal sounds from Bloom Vocal Aether and, finally, vocal synths are Vocaloid: Lucas, triple-tracked for added flavour.
Lyrics
Do you sing for your wages?
Psalm for the ages
All I want is your words
Clear among those fake sages
Smooth out your rages
Psalm for the ages
All I want is your words
Clear among those fake sages
Penny in the fountain
Splashing hope around: ripples fade
Putting trust in copper coins
Sing for your wages?
Psalm of the ages
All I want is your words
Clear among those fake sages
Out Of Key [original song, Vocaloid6 - Allen & Sandra]
TL; DR: this is a synth-pop track about being true to yourself.
Before writing, for the last couple of days of January, I'd been listening to Pete Shelley's "Homosapien"¹, on repeat, like a deranged teenager. The idea was to overdose on a song I liked, so that the song's structure or ambience or intent would then seep -- osmosis style -- into my next creation. I'm not sure it has but I like the process.
Anyway, this track is about being true to yourself; being comfortable with your dubious decisions.
Technically, the drum sounds are from Groove Agent with some added Backbone sourced hi-hats. The various brass instruments are from NN-XT samples. Other synths from Thor and filtered, sampled sawtooth waves (NN19), stock Cubase Retrologue, Halion, Padshop in there too. Vocals are from the Vocaloid6 set -- hello, Allen and Sandra; their formant glitchiness tempered by EQ & saturation.
