I’m building Armored Core–style mechs using binder clips.
This time, just like the previous one, I used 25mm white binder clips as the base, but I switched only the joints to black clips to emphasize a more mechanical look.
I think it looks significantly cooler compared to building it in a single color.

今回も前回と同じ幅25mmの白ベースですが、関節部のみ黒色のクリップを使用してメカっぽさを強調してみました。単色で組むよりもかっこよさがかなり増したと思います！

Thanks for checking this out!
I used binder clips again to make an Armored Core–style mech with reverse-joint legs.
This time I went with the largest clips I’ve ever used—25mm wide, in white.
It’s super imposing, but it was tricky to make it stand, so I don’t think I’ll be using this size again.

久しぶりの新作です。今回は、大好きな映画『デスマシーン』（1994）に登場する殺戮兵器「ウォービースト」を、バインダークリップのみで制作しました。大小合わせて約120個のクリップを使用しています。

過去作ではワンサイズのクリップで作ってきましたが、今作は複数のサイズを組み合わせることで、鋭利な爪や特徴的な歯並びなど、細かな形状まで再現することにこだわりました。

制作期間は約半月。会社で破棄される予定だったクリップを譲り受けたのがきっかけです。映画の中のウォービーストはエイリアンさながらの恐ろしい存在ですが、明るい場所で観察すると意外にも「小動物のような縮こまった愛嬌」があることに気づき、そのチープな魅力を大切にしつつ、飛びかかってきそうな躍動感を意識して仕上げました。

殺戮メカ映画として最高傑作の一つである『デスマシーン』。

It’s finally finished.
I’ve built three versions of REX so far, but this Version 4 will be the final one.
Up until now, I kept improving things like the rear module, the shoulder parts, and the overall stability. But there was one thing I just couldn’t reproduce—the iconic wide-legged intimidation pose you often see in promotional images.
The problem was simple: the legs didn’t look right.
So I went through a lot of trial and error, redesigning the structure again and again… and finally, I managed to recreate the distinctive legs of REX.
The material, of course, is binder clips only.
A total of 112 clips, all 25 mm size.
And yeah… I’ll say it with confidence.
This is the coolest binder clip in the world.

この間、本番撮影を終えたレックスだけど、さらに改良してより似せることができた。

大きな改良点として、
・バネを使って頭部と脚部をを後部モジュールからひっぱることにした。これのおかげで下がり過ぎだった頭部の角度がアップした。
・左肩のレドームが前に突き出しすぎていたのを改良した。
・右型のレールガンの付け方と組み方を根本的に見直して改良した。以前はいろいろ突き出しすぎていたがこれでオリジナルのスッキリした形になったと思う。

これらの改良により自立性も大きく向上した！（前のVERは立たせるのが大変だった）

私は完成した後も毎日触って観察している。今後も改良の余地があるならやっていくよ。

Notes
Everything is made purely from binder clips.
BINAH’s original armor is completely white, but I intentionally used a black-and-white two-tone color scheme to emphasize a more mechanical look.

I tried to make the head resemble a dragon as closely as possible.
There wasn’t enough accurate reference material for the tail, so that part is based on my own interpretation.
