Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles is a puzzle game similar to games like Puzzle Quest or the Bejeweled series. Your goal is to adjust blocks of different colors using a "cursor" comprehending of four blocks so that they form a diamond pattern. If this case occurs, all blocks of the same color touching the diamond will disappear. The blocks above the empty space will now drop and the empty space at the top is filled with new blocks.
The game has a strong focus on combos, among others full combos, elementals, chains or time combos.
An outstanding feature of the game is the story mode, where you travel over a world map similar to Super Mario World. Behind each waypoint you will usually find a puzzle, but you may also discover a minigame or other special locations (like shops). The stages are connected with a funny and self-ironic storyline, among others containing the developers of the game as the protagonists.

1001 Spikes is a difficult platformer designed with the retro aesthetics of an 8-bit game. It is an enhanced version of Aban Hawkins & 1000 Spikes. The protagonist is Aban Hawkins who explores different environment in search for his father, the archeaologist Jim Hawkins, and the treasure of Poko-Mum rumoured to be behind a golden door.
The title references the amount of lives the player has to complete the game. These are needed to complete the hard levels filled with enemies and traps such as spikes, boulders, falling platforms, crushing blocks, etc.. Basic controls consist of movement, a regular and a high jump, and an attack move. A large amount of characters and additional costumes can be unlocked throughout the game, usually by discovering gold skulls in levels. Certain characters have specific abilities and their own story elements, but cannot be swapped on the fly or between levels; they each have their full campaign.

Bayonetta is a single-player action game with hack-and-slash combat set in a contemporary fantasy world. The story follows Bayonetta, a witch who awakens after a 500-year slumber at the bottom of a lake with no memory of her past. Bayonetta gradually regains fragments of her lost history and the fate of the world tied to the power of the Eyes of the World.

Runner 2 is the sequel to Bit.Trip Runner. The game's look and feel is very different from the original. Runner 2 forgoes the original's retro look in favor of a cartoon art style. The game's story takes on a more humorous tone, and is narrated by Charles Martinet.
The game expands on the original in several ways. There are several new actions, such as rotating the analog stick to trace Commander Video's path around a loop. In addition, level selection takes place on a map screen laid out similar to other classic platform games. Levels offer alternate paths which can be either easier or harder to complete depending on the path. There are also mid-level checkpoints, though these are optional, and the player earns more points if he/she chooses to skip them. Collecting all gold in each stage allows the player to shoot Commander Video out of a cannon into a target to score extra points.

The gameplay with its third-person hack-and-slash is similar to the first game. The environments consists of large open world areas where dungeons lead to new locations. Next to the action there are also still many environment-based puzzles that require the manipulation of levers, tiles, pressure plates, doors and portals to progress. Compared to War in the first game, Death is much more agile and can perform acrobatic moves.

Unlike its predecessors, Scribblenauts Unlimited uses a level-based structure where multiple people with quests appear in the same zone. These people all have a puzzle that the player must solve, usually by using the in-game notebook, which spawns any item or person the player writes into it. Adjectives can also still be applied to objects, people and animals. One new feature are the riddles contained in the menu, which are categorized under subjects like "Food" or "Vehicles" and have the player simply guess what item the riddle is referring too.
Scribblenauts Unlimited also introduces an in-game object editor, which allows players to create their own items and share them online.
