ボズ・スキャッグス(1944年6月8日生)は、ハイオ州生まれテキサス州育ちのアメリカのミュージシャン。
70年代後半から80年代にかけて流行したAORを代表するシンガーです。
デビューした65年頃はR&B色が濃い泥臭い音楽でしたが70年代初頭からブルー・アイド・ソウル方向に転換。ビターなヴォーカルと甘くまどろんだメロディが一体とする、アーバンで洗練された情景を演出し「We're All Alone」等ヒット曲を連発しました
またこの曲のヒットをきっかけにAOR（アダルト・オリエンテッド・ロック）という言葉が日本で発生したそうです。なお、AORは日本独自の呼び方で、アメリカではAC(アダルト・コンテンポラリー)と呼ぶそうです
