せっかくなのでunboxing動画を撮りつつ、何パターンか好きに弾いてみました。

3オクターブとコンパクトで、かつ珍しいMIDI DINやCV/GATEを搭載しているMIDIキーボードなのが非常に良いです。

novationJP公式Xアカウントがcircuit rhythmとLaunchControlXLをコンボした動画をアップロードしていたんですが、
circuitはMIDIホストになれない仕様のため、PCを経由するかMIDIボックスが必要でした。
PCレスでやりたければMIDIボックスを買えばいい話なんですが、もしかしたらUSBMIDIでないMIDIコンがあるんじゃないか？
と思いめちゃくちゃ調査したところ、今回購入したEvolution UC-33が見つかりました。
2000年ごろの機材なので相当調達性が悪いものの、MIDI IN/OUTを備えて8chで1chあたりノブが3つあるような製品は、
これと同年代に発売されたbehringerの機材くらいしかないみたいです。
そこそこ小さい上、単独でMIDI設定がしやすいUIがついてるのもGOOD。
たまたま安価に購入できたため、これを使ってcircuit rhythmをコントロールしてトラックを作ってみました。

今回使ってませんが、ボタンにもCCを割り当てることができるため、見た目より操作子が多いです。
ただまあ……中古で買って動く保証もないので、MIDIボックスを買うのをオススメします。
かなり値が張りますが、Faderfoxのコントローラーやroland TR-8Sとかでもいいと思います。
フェーダーにこだわらなければshik.tech N32Bやnakedboards MC-24もリーズナブルです。

rasteri氏が開発したオープンソース超小型スクラッチ電子楽器、SC500を、ベルリンのメーカーportablismgearが量産したものを購入したのでunboxingしました。
動画の後半では、購入目的のひとつであった、EP-133でのサンプリングのための小型プレーヤー、としての使用について試しています。
動画内だとまだまだ引き出せていないですが、スクラッチのテクニックなどを練習すればもっと本格的なプレイができそうです。
何よりめちゃくちゃ小型なのがいいです。
SC500の探究についてはまた別の動画でリベンジしたいです。

I have unboxed the SC500, an open source ultra-compact scratch electronic instrument developed by rasteri and mass-produced by portablismgear, a Berlin-based manufacturer.

Teenage Engineeringから去年発売されて去年末くらいに届いた、pocket operator K.O.の進化版サンプラー「EP-133 K.O.Ⅱ」を開封しました。

PO版K.O.よりも格段に使いやすいうえ、OP-1などと比べてもワークフローがかなり明快なので、触ってすぐ楽しめる面白いサンプラーです。
サンプルを作りこんだりリサンプリングしたりする場合はSP-404などの方が強い印象ですが、
ライブ的にループを作りながらどんどん展開を作っていくみたいな作り方が好きな人、1, 2分くらいの短いループを楽しみたい人にはおすすめかもしれません。
