AlphaTheta Chordcat unboxing
AlphaTheta Chordcatをクラウドファンディングで購入しました。
roland J-6、hichordと同様コードに特化したグルーヴボックスです。
特にコード進行を提案してくれるコードクルーザーが話題になっていました。
ワークフローが好みに合っているのか、個人的にすごく曲作りしやすかったです。

Teenage engineering EP-133 K.O.Ⅱ unboxing
Teenage Engineeringから去年発売されて去年末くらいに届いた、pocket operator K.O.の進化版サンプラー「EP-133 K.O.Ⅱ」を開封しました。
PO版K.O.よりも格段に使いやすいうえ、OP-1などと比べてもワークフローがかなり明快なので、触ってすぐ楽しめる面白いサンプラーです。
サンプルを作りこんだりリサンプリングしたりする場合はSP-404などの方が強い印象ですが、
ライブ的にループを作りながらどんどん展開を作っていくみたいな作り方が好きな人、1, 2分くらいの短いループを楽しみたい人にはおすすめかもしれません。

It is much easier to use than the PO version of K.O. and has a much clearer workflow than the OP-1, etc., making it an interesting sampler that can be enjoyed immediately upon touch.
When it comes to making samples and resampling, I have the impression that the SP-404 and others are more powerful,
However, for those who like to create live loops and develop them as they go along, or for those who enjoy short loops of about 1 or 2 minutes, this might be the sampler for you.

portablismgear SC500 unboxing w/ teenage engineering EP-133 K.O.2
rasteri氏が開発したオープンソース超小型スクラッチ電子楽器、SC500を、ベルリンのメーカーportablismgearが量産したものを購入したのでunboxingしました。
動画の後半では、購入目的のひとつであった、EP-133でのサンプリングのための小型プレーヤー、としての使用について試しています。
動画内だとまだまだ引き出せていないですが、スクラッチのテクニックなどを練習すればもっと本格的なプレイができそうです。
何よりめちゃくちゃ小型なのがいいです。
SC500の探究についてはまた別の動画でリベンジしたいです。

I have unboxed the SC500, an open source ultra-compact scratch electronic instrument developed by rasteri and mass-produced by portablismgear, a Berlin-based manufacturer.
In the second half of the video, I try to use it as a small player for sampling with the EP-133, which was one of the purposes of the purchase.
In the video, I can't pull it off yet, but I'm sure I can play more seriously if I practice my scratching techniques.
The best thing about it is that it is insanely small.
I'd like to revisit the exploration of the SC500 in another video.

Roland AIRA Compact J-6 開封動画 & demo (with SP-404mkⅡ)

今回はRolandのJ-6のunboxing動画を撮りました。
J-6のプリセットの紹介や説明書に沿った操作方法の確認をしつつ、J-6の音をメインにしてSP-404 mk2でサンプリングし、DAWlessで曲を作るところまでやります。
本来これ単品で曲を作るのが目的ではない設計なのでSP-404を使ってややこしいことをしてますが、コードシーケンサーとしての機能は十分優秀なので、パフォーマンス用途では絶大なパワーを持っていると思います。

クリスマスにmulti/polyを買いました。
音作りの幅もmotion sequencing 2.0も奥深すぎてまだ全然使いこなせてませんが、
現時点の理解度で好きに触ってみます。
特にmotion sequencing 2.0は海外の先駆者がかなり詳細な解説を出されています。
これを勉強しながら、だんだん音作りの動画を出していきたいです。

The range of sound creation and motion sequencing 2.0 is too deep for me to use at all yet,
I'm not sure how to use it at all yet, but I'll touch it as I like with the level of understanding I have at the moment.
In particular, motion sequencing 2.0 has been published by an overseas pioneer who has given a very detailed explanation.
While studying this, I'd like to gradually start producing sound creation videos.

意欲的なプロダクトが多いSONICWARE社が好きでいろいろ買ってたんですが、ようやくひとつ開梱することができました。
普通のシンセやサンプラーでは作り出すことの難しいエグイ音がつまみをちょっと触ってるだけで作り出せるので非常に面白いです。狙った音を出したり使いこなしたりするためには慣れが必要そうではありますが、いろんなサンプルを突っ込んでるだけでも長らく遊べそうなプロダクトです。

I like Sonicware's ambitious products and have bought many of them, and I finally got around to unpacking one of them.
It is very interesting because it is possible to create exhilarating sounds that are difficult to create with ordinary synths and samplers, just by touching a few knobs. It may take some getting used to in order to get the sound you want, but it is a product that you can play with for a long time just by plugging in various samples.

別のunboxing動画でMIDIキーボードとしてAKAI MPK mini plusを買いました。
せっかくなのでunboxing動画を撮りつつ、何パターンか好きに弾いてみました。
3オクターブとコンパクトで、かつ珍しいMIDI DINやCV/GATEを搭載しているMIDIキーボードなのが非常に良いです。
キーボードとパッドで2chを1台でコントロールできるのも楽しいです。

I bought an AKAI MPK mini plus as a MIDI keyboard with another unboxing video.
Since I was in the mood, I played a few patterns as I wanted while taking the unboxing video.
It is a very good MIDI keyboard that is compact with 3 octaves and has MIDI DIN and CV/GATE, which is rare.
It is also fun to be able to control two channels with a single keyboard and pad.

Roland P-6 unboxing
AIRA compactにサンプラーが出た！ しかもグラニュラーシンセがついてる！ なP-6を購入したので開けました。
この価格でサンプラーとしての機能もエフェクトも充実、しかもグラニュラーシンセがついてる！ でお得な製品です。
サンプリング周りで不都合は多少ありますが、そこはSP-404もあるしね、という割り切りを感じます。

AIRA compact has a sampler! And it has a granular synth! I opened the P-6, a sampler with a granular synthesizer!
It is a sampler with full functions and effects for this price, and it comes with a granular synthesizer! It's a great value for the money.
There are some inconveniences in the sampling area, but I feel that they are not so bad, as there is also the SP-404.

結構要素はシンプルで、簡単な操作でも複雑な音が出せます。
出音の制御は少し苦労するかもしれませんが、ちょっと勉強すればそれっぽい音が出てくれるのがいいですね。

I unboxed evoke, a cinematic and ambient synthesiser from sonicware.
The elements are fairly simple, and you can produce complex sounds with easy operations.
Controlling the sound output may take a little effort, but it's nice that you can produce realistic sounds with a little study.
