The Indian bass player Jayen Varma is popular for his tabla/mridangam style finger technique on bass guitar. The style innovated by him is known as Indian slap bass . As per the validation by The Registry of Official World Records (Record Holders Republic)US&UK and The RecordSetter Book of World Records in 2008 and 2011, he is the fastest bass guitar player.
