Two Iranian propeller-driven strike drones targeted the Omani port of Salalah, which has been previously targeted in this war. Iran has rarely attacked Oman in this war and has undertaken very limited attacks at that—there are no reports or footage of, say, a Shahed-136 flying over Muscat. Iran has previously targeted the Omani ports of Salalah and Duqm on account of how these can be used to resupply the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (which were resupplied via Duqm before the star of this war) and associated warships in the Arabian Sea and, increasingly, because these ports are, alongside Saudi Arabia's Red Sea ports, lifelines for the Gulf Arab states at a time when the Strait of Hormuz is, for all practical intents and purposes, functionally closed. https://x.com/shahpas/status/2037962147116777738
