The movie depicts the love affair of 19 years old Satoko (Fumi Nikaido) and Ichige (Hiroki Hasegawa) , a bank's branch manager that evacuated his wife and child who live next door, on the background of Tokyo in 1945, soon before the upcoming end of World War II.
