Fun with background harmonies! And boy isn't this song harmony -heavy-! I had so much fun with it though, can you tell? It's about time that I recorded a Gumi song! Not to mention, I'm very happy with the overall quality of this one.

*Cultural Note:
The song refers to a 'rabbit on the moon' who is making mochi (rice cakes). Though for us, we would know this little guy as 'The Man on the Moon'.

I worked diligently for days on this adaption, carefully capturing the context line by painstaking line while watching the translated video. I changed barely a word (only for metaphorical translation's sake), kept every single phrase and feeling in perfect tact. It was fast and difficult to find just the wording to fit the melody and the structure of the song without screwing up the line. There's 16th notes in there man. 16th notes. That's Oni-Mode for my mouth.

Craft Lawrence, a 25 year old peddler travelling from town to town selling and buying various things to make a living during a period much like Europe in the Middle Ages. She manages to bargain her way out of the village by making a deal with Lawrence to take her with him. I've had this done for a while now, but haven't had the time to put it together and get it uploaded. It's probably one of the two or three fandubs I've done in the last two years that I'm actually happy with. Perhaps I'm improving. Perhaps not. But, either way.
As it was with Kokoro, this song did make me cry the first time I watched it. I fell in love with it, played around with translating its hectic lyrics, and then figured out a way to make it sound all pretty-like. The harmonies in this song are pretty fantastic as well. It makes me sad that harmonies are tossed out in a lot of fandubs.
