去年の十五夜に作った曲です。特に何かを伝える内容の歌詞ではないですが、しつこく繰り返すと何か意味深に聞こえてきます。でも別に、何の意図もありません。案外人はこう言う錯覚に意味を見出して生きているのかもしれません。

そうそう、イラストはAIに書いてもらいました。私もイラストを描けるのですが、時間的にも体力的んもちょっと余裕がないのでとても助かります。最近眼精疲労が酷いんです。

でもこれ、ディテールを見ると微妙におかしいですね。

ルカV4Xさん誕生日おめでとう！

Duran Duranさんの「Is There Something I Should Know?」です。
邦題の「プリーズ・テル・ミー・ナウ」の方がなじみがあるのかもしれません。
よく「この邦題の付け方ってどうなんだ」って話題の時に取り上げられる曲でもあります。

実は何の気なく作ってたんですが、なんと今日はV4Xさんのお誕生日だそうで、
奇しくもこの曲がイギリスで発売された日でもあります。
バッキングボーカルはカイト君とメイコさんとほんの少しミクさんと、
さらにほんの少しDEX君に手伝ってもらいました。

あいかわらずいい加減な訳は私です、今回は特に抽象的な歌詞なので困りました。
「nuclear war」なんて言葉が出てくるし、核の冬を思わせる「雪」なんて言葉が出てくるので、
この曲も去年末に上げた「Since Yesterday」のように核戦争後を歌っているような気がします。
（たぶん・・・）

そして、歌詞の中の「あなた」は誰なのか？
当時「矢追純一UFO特集」大好きっ子だった私はPVを見て、
「おお、これはレンデルシャムの森事件だ！この曲は宇宙人に向けた曲なのでは！」
と当時勝手に盛り上がってたのですが、年代的に微妙なようです(´・ω・｀)
レンデルシャム（レンドルシャム）の森事件（知ってます？）が、
広く知られるようになったのは1983年でこの曲も1983年なので。

普通に読むと「あなた」はたぶんキリストの事でしょうか。
ただ、「容姿（Looks）」や「写真（Pictures、絵画なのかもしれませんが）」
なんて言葉が出てくるので、そのままキリストだとおかしい気もします。
ひょっとすると宇宙人をそういう救世主と捉えているのかもしれません。
どうなんでしょうね。
