もっとリュートを！ Christopher Wilke plays Straube, Lute Sonata 2, 1st mvmtHere is the first movement, "un poco Allegro" of Rudolf Straube's Sonata 2 in G Major for 13-course lute, published in Leipzig 1747. Although this is just a few years before the death of Straube's teacher J.S. Bach, the music is a world apart from Bach's style. This really interesting piece points to the then radical classical style and seems almost schizophrenic in its sudden contrasts between bold and lyrical sections as well as its creative use of dynamics and silence.
