Painting Series - “Textured Shapes on Canvas” - Painting 1 of 7I started making these wrinkled canvas paintings in 2015 but they were stored away for about 5 years. I just pulled them out and started working on them again. I am working on these paintings while also painting tablets, which reference cellphones.Thanks for watching!——————Hi, my name is Jesse Ruiz and I’m an artist and data engineer. I make painting, drawings, videos and generative art. My art practice is informed by traditional oil painting in representational and non-representational forms, comic making, and multimedia experimentation. Recently, I began making oil paintings on substrates that reference cell phone shapes as well as endeavoring into digital art making with digital painting and GANS.
